Tornado...but no damage to our home

I forgot to put this in the entry I just posted... I live in the Dallas, Texas metroplex and we had some severe weather on Friday night. There was an F1 tornado that touched down about 1/2 mile from my house. 51 homes damaged but no people were hurt. Five families were displaced from their homes. I feel very lucky that we weren't hurt in it and our home didn't suffer any damage. It could have been much worse! I do have friends in the subdivision that was hit and they're working on the clean-up.

Thank God nobody was injured.

    Wow, that's so scary! I've been close to tornados, too. I'm glad you're ok.

    Wow! Glad you guys are okay! I had a "downburst" blow out my windows before. And the walls bowed in and out. Scary! So glad no damage to you and hope that your friends and their neighbors get back on their feet really soon! I'm really glad no one was hurt!

    So glad you're safe and with no property damage. Three years of living in FL taught me mother nature is no joke!
